Before you delete

Deleting your account is permanent. Export a copy first if you want to keep your records. See Export my data.

If you only want to remove one bank, disconnect that bank instead. Open Settings › Connections, then click Disconnect on the bank's card. On a phone, tap ⋯ on the bank's card, then Disconnect. When you disconnect a bank, Jarby asks whether to keep or delete its history. Delete removes the bank, its accounts, its transactions and the raw records Plaid sent us. This can't be undone. Keep stops syncing and keeps your history as a closed bank, with no connection, until you delete it in Settings › Connections.

How to delete your account

1. Open Settings › Privacy

On a computer, click Settings in the left sidebar, then Privacy. On a phone, tap More, then Privacy under SETTINGS.

2. Start the deletion

In the Your data card, click Delete my account.

3. Confirm with your email

In the box, type your email address. The confirm button stays off until the text matches. Then click Delete my account again.

Jarby shows "Account deleted. Signing out…" and then signs you out.

What deletion removes

• Your data leaves the live database at once, except any invitation record, the record of bank webhook calls Jarby received (these have no set deletion period today), and your email address if you joined the waitlist. Jarby keeps a waitlist email only to tell you when you can join, until you ask for it to be removed. Email support@jarby.app to have it removed.
• Jarby asks Plaid to end your bank connections. This is a best effort: if Plaid does not confirm, Jarby still deletes its own copy.
• Jarby asks Stripe to delete your billing record.
• Nightly backup copies roll off after about 30 days. Copies the operator made by hand are deleted by the operator.
• Server logs have no set deletion period today. The privacy policy says a limited period will apply from the hosting move.
• Anthropic keeps data only as its terms allow.
