What a plan is
A pay-over-time plan is a balance you pay back in set monthly payments, usually on a card. Jarby keeps the plan so its payments show in your budget and on your card's forecast.
Add a plan
Open the card from Accounts to see its Card workshop. Open the POT plans tab and use + Add plan to start a new plan.
Jarby may suggest a plan when it sees a regular payment. The suggestion shows the monthly amount, the month it started, and how many payments it has seen.
The plan screen has these fields:
- Plan name
- Monthly payment
- Term (months, optional)
- Pinned balance
- Opened date
- Notes
The term is optional.
Where plans show
- The Pay over time row in the Held out block of the budget page shows the monthly total of your plans. Tap it to open them.
- On a card's forecast, a plan payment due on a statement shows as a Pay-over-time installment expected on that statement.
Finished and deleted plans
A finished plan can be dismissed. Tap Dismiss on its row.
To delete a plan, the screen asks you to confirm first. The confirmation says This can't be undone.
